Daniel Goldshtein is an urban farmer, musician, and historian with a deep-rooted love of the transformative power fungi can have on the world. A lifelong learner, he has been cultivating mushrooms since 1999. Daniel has since become a leader among DIY growers, sharing his knowledge and experience with the dedicated community of mycologists along the East Coast.

Stu Sherman developed a deep connection to food science after being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age six. After earning a JD/MPH from Boston University, he worked in health policy, leading a New York State bioethics Task Force on healthcare innovation and pandemic response. During the pandemic, while working as a public interest attorney, he discovered a passion for urban gardening and mushroom cultivation, combining his love of science with hands-on growing.
